Nikon d80 program shift

You can't change the shutter or the aperture though in either P or auto. I do change to sports mode at kids soccer games when I don't want to have to mess with shutter speed. I've also used close up. I've gotten some good pics too.

They have those settings for a reason. I didn't know what "that meter in the viewfinder" meant til I took a class when I got my D80! I had a much longer zoom than her too. Even when I'm frustrated I do and don't think to change it to A or S, until my hubby finally says "just change the dial". I like to get it right in the camera! I don't even like to do PP. It's too time consuming and I'd rather do it right when I take the picture!

I'm not a high and mighty PRO like you, but people are impressed that I've only had my camera 4 months when they see my shots!
