Sorry, but I have a whole thread on the incompatibility of Tamron with the A In the end Tamron admitting that it was not compatible. Neither lens supplier is without fault.

I remember that thread but the compatibility issues that some older Sigma lenses have are worse than that and cannot be cured by turning off EFCS. I have 3 Tamron lenses that work flawlessly 90mm macro, USD and f2. I wonder what's different about the ? While I have used open-source and am thankful for people who undervalue their work and give it away for free, I never got the idea..

Came back and lens would not stop down. Called and talked to a tech. Maybe the same guy worked on your lenses.

I used the shop in NY. Anyway, second time everything worked as it should and Sigma paid postage both ways - no charge for the second fix either. I kind of think their QC sucks a bit. They should have tested that before they returned the lenses to you. Call them and they should be able to help. That's too good a lens not to work right.
